Re: ID.4 Service Intervals

Interesting to see that 2 years is common dealer advice. If Unionjack's dealer is correct, it sounds like 1st service will be due at earlier of 10K miles or 2 years?.

Re: ID.4 Service Intervals

After a bit more digging, I found a VW service guide for inspection/maintenance every 10K miles/24 months, albeit this one was from VW of America. "The car will tell you" provides some comfort but I'd still like to know, for my own peace of mind, what VW UK considers to be the recommended ...

ID.4 Service Intervals

Looking for confirmation of service interval for my ID.4. Review of ID.4 on Drive Electric website states 2 years. VW website also gives a 2 year interval for the electric Golf as an example but I can't find anything to confirm that this is also the case for the ID.4. Neither the online manual nor t...

Re: Mirrors not folding out when unlocking

Happened once or twice to me. Try selecting fold then unfold mirrors on the windows/mirrors control panel, that usually does it.

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control & Navigation– Issues

Similar ACC experiences to exwayf. The scariest ones were when my WW ID.4 decided that it needed to slow to 30mph from 70 mph while driving on the motorway. This occurred as I was passing motorway exit sliproads. Maybe the car detected 30 mph roadsigns and got confused? It certainly caused some unex...

Charging Using WeConnectID App

Anyone else encountered this issue? Tried to charge at Ionity stations using the WeConnect ID app. Used the app to locate charging stations that could charge at the WeChargeGo rate of £0.45.kWh (a discount compared to the full Ionity rate of £0.69/kWh). Although I did not have the RFID card at the t...

Charging Android Phone

There are 4 charging ports in the VW ID.4 1st Edition but they are all the small, USB-C type. The devices I used most often in my previous car were an Android phone (1 year old) and an Ipod (admittedly, over 8 years old), both of which connected to the car via standard USB ports. A connection cable ...

Re: Any experiences of getting/trying to get a tow bar fitted to a 1st Edition?

I came across this issue when I ordered my ID.4 via a lease company. It's a 1st Edition and the lease company asked around UK VW dealers for one in the colour I wanted, fitted with a towbar. As none were available, I had to wait for a new build ID.4 1st Edition with a factory-fitted towbar. Back in ...

Re: Keyless Entry

Oh well, it's no big deal at this stage, there are plenty other gadgets and widgets to demonstrate. Was impressed today when my ID.4 alerted me to a sharp bend ahead, advised me what approach speed was appropriate and then slowed the car down to that speed. Didn't expect my own car to become my driv...

Keyless Entry

Took delivery of my ID.4 1st Edition (UK) this week and loving it so far. Struggling to find how to activate keyless entry, however. Manual (Wallet) in Infotainment system suggests this can be done via vehicle settings but I could not find a way to do this. I notice that the car tells me it is in SA...
