Re: Brand new VW ID4 available
I ordered an ID4 back in June 2021, I was promised delivery would be in September 2021, by mid October 2021 there was still no build date. So I cancelled my order and I got my £1000 deposit refunded. I'm not sure how much you paid down for the deposit, but if you are going to have to pay for the car...

Re: Delivery Due?
@r1nse
Thanks for the information on how you got your car quicker due to a possible cancelled order.
My car estimated build date has slipped twice now from the last week of August, then mid September now late October.
Hope you get your car very soon and enjoy!

Re: Delivery Due?
I ordered my car two weeks after you ordered yours. Initially I was advised the provisional build week was week 35, then moved to week 38. The last update via VW customer services is the provisional build week is going to be week 43. I am confused how VW are prioritising the build of cars, based on ...

Re: Active us of reversing sensors v reversing camera?
@Munchi3- I ordered mine almost same time as yours (June 21) Life Pure with alloys and according to tracking it’s still waiting for build week. Week 38 was the advise from the dealer. I guess dealers just assumed Life trim is the new City trim that they have in stock and sold it that way- I also ad...

Re: Active us of reversing sensors v reversing camera?
@frankg - when did you order this? Is this a factory order or dealer stock? It was through a main VW dealer and I ordered the car at the end of June. When did you take delivery of the car? I ordered 52kwh Life Pure on the 19th June, my car is yet to be built. I'm told week 38 which is mid September...

Re: Loss of displayed battery range
The car range is calculated constantly based on your recent usage, so based on your car range displayed now is pretty good.
330 is very optimistic, ev database website is quoting 250 miles as real world estimate from a fully charged battery.

Re: Keyless Entry
Probably a good thing if the UK ID 4 does not have keyless entry. There's been a big increase with keyless entry cars being stolen.

Re: Active us of reversing sensors v reversing camera?
In my opinion, sensors cannot replace the practicalities and reliability of rear camera when reversing. The sensors might indicate the car is close to an object but in conjunction with a camera you get visual confirmation of where your car exact position relative to the object. Also reversing camera...
