Re: Hatchbag boot liners

Having a dog I prefer to protect the boot with a boot liner. I’ve used Hatchbag.co.uk liners on my last 5 cars. However, the ID.4 is still too new for them to be cost effective for the company. If we all show an interest on their website they’ll consider it. I’ve lobbied them and even volunteered m...

Re: Winter Driving

With less daylight, colder and wetter weather and all the energy required to keep our cars fully functioning, it may be a good idea for us to monitor how things are working out. If you would like to, you can share your experiences here. After all, this will be our first winter driving an EV. I rece...

Re: New OTA software due soon? (12 weeks since 0792)

Got a notice saying software available this morning. Dash board lit up like Christmas. Clicked okay. When I got to my destination I clicked go. Big mistake, took dog for a walk for an hour, still half way through the update. Couldn’t drive it or pause it. Not entirely sure how long it took but I’d ...

Re: Driver assistance

When you say "steering assistance", are you talking about Lane Keeping Assistance? If that's the case, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. This has beed discussed no end on another forum and it would appear that it's a safety feature implemented by VW which keeps it on unless you manually...

Driver assistance

Living in north Worcestershire there are many narrow roads with overhanging trees and hedgerows that I use. The steering assistance on these roads is a pain in the butt. It’s the digital equivalent of my first driving instructor in 1971 who used to grab the steering wheel all the time. I know you ca...

Had my 1st Ed 6 months now, 4,000 miles and the car says 539 days to Service! I'll do it at 2 years. It'll need an MOT at 3 years of course.
Similar figure to mine.

Re: New OTA software due soon? (12 weeks since 0792)

I received an email From VW We Connect last week. This is part of it. "From autumn 2021, you can benefit from new functions and more comfort without having to visit a workshop. In order to receive the ID.Software Update for your vehicle with the vehicle identification number ???????????nnnnnn,...

Re: ID.4 Service Intervals

Dealer was very specific to me, 2 year intervals. Battery warranty is 8 years. Just sit back and relax. I was offered a service plan by the dealer too but it didn’t seem to make economic sense to me. I mentioned the cost against paying as I go to the dealer, he didn’t disagree. As mine, is an ex de...
