Re: Heated Seat question

Just completed a 45 minute drive in -2.5C and passenger had the heated seat on. Stayed on 3 dots until journey completed. Just checked the manual and there is no mention of the heated seat reducing the heating as time progresses.

Re: Blind spot monitoring

The Lane Keeping System (Lane Assist) uses the camera on the windscreen and is standard on all models. I normally switch it off as it is not suitable where I live with lots of narrow, twisting roads. The Lane Changing System (Side Assist) needs extra hardware such as the 2 rear radars in the bumper....

Re: Interior Dimensions

Just measured it for you. There is 9cm depth useable once the top floor is closed. No problem for charging cable as I often keep mine there along with other bits and pieces.

Completed update with no issues. Took 2 days and looking at the number of worksheets involved not surprised. Stack of sheets was at least an inch high! Now waiting for OTA update to 3.0 but in no rush.

Re: V2.4 Dealer/Service point upgrades starting July 2022

Hi @tkid, that is good news. I have just had a phone call from the local dealership as they promised. Seemed to think the issue has been resolved and have just completed 2 successful updates. They did not give any further details but I have now booked my car in for next Wednesday. Will let the forum...

Re: V2.4 Dealer/Service point upgrades starting July 2022

Hi @tkid, sorry to hear about your problems. I am in North Devon. However, the VW software division is under some pressure due to their poor performance and is one of the main reasons the VW board just outed their CEO. So I am not surprised if there are issues with the upgrade. I am certainly in no ...

Re: V2.4 Dealer/Service point upgrades starting July 2022

Just had an interesting talk with my local service agent. Following my invitation email from VW for the “complimentary battery upgrade and software update” I gave the garage a ring. They have put the upgrade on hold as they were having issues with some of the cars being “bricked” after the update. O...

Re: V2.4 Dealer/Service point upgrades starting July 2022

Update on my previous message - garage put in the VIN number to VW and there was no update available yet for my car. They think VW may be doing a rolling update. They will let me know when one for my car becomes available. Maybe the 11th of July as per a previous message is the key. I will wait and ...

Re: V2.4 Dealer/Service point upgrades starting July 2022

Just phoned my local VW service and the car is booked in on the 19th July. They seemed to know about the update. Let you all know how it goes.

Re: Charging from uk mains socket

The vw charger is rated at 10A. I get around 6 miles per hour which equates to around 2 kW. So 8-9 hours should give around 50 miles of range.
