Mark, I think that your timing for this is inappropriate given the present massive loss of production/deliveries to the uk of the Id4.
There are hundreds of prospective owners in the uk waiting for their vehicles to be delivered with very little chance of receiving them within the next six months.

Re: Delivery Due?
Just had a call from my dealer to say that he now has an indicated build week of 27 for my Id4 Life 52kwh Pure ordered 19/11/21. When I asked if his group had others on order he indicated that they had over 300 4's and over 1000 3's on order!! I see that VW have now suspended production of these mod...

Re: Delivery Due?
Just seen on Google that you can now only order base Id3 due to manufacturing restrictions. Watch this space to include the Id4 any day now. I wonder what will happen to the added spec orders placed over the last few months?

Re: Delivery Due?
My heart goes out to the Dealers having to field all the inquiries from their customers, with no information coming out of VW. I do not know how the dealers can survive financially from such restrictions on turnover. I suspect that it is costing VW millions in Dealer support.

Re: Delivery Due?
When I ordered my 52kwh Life Pure on 15/11 my Dealer advised me to order stock vehicle to avoid build delays. So ordered the base model and "extras of, Raised Floor, Granny Charger, Tailgate protection, Flexible Load Liner and Mud Flaps all round, Extended Seat Runners," as Dealer Fitted S...

Re: 52kwh real world range
If I remember the figure was £180 if purchased with the initial order for the vehicle, much more if purchased as a post delivery part.

Re: 52kwh real world range
Ordered a "granny charger" with my order for an ID.4 52kwh Pure last November. Did not know that uk models did not include this until reading article on this site. Found that this was the cheapest way of getting one. No sign of a build date in the neat future

Re: Government ev grant
Pleased to report that I also have had a confirmation today from my dealer that my order has been confirmed by VW as it was placed last month, just waiting for the build slot. As an aside just seen that Vauxhall have reduced the retail price of their Mokka and Corsa evs to bring them back into the g...

Re: Government ev grant
I assume that someone will have to pick up the tab for the £1000 drop. The question is who? VW, Customer, Dealer or Leasing Co. The drop to £32000 qualification is also a double "whammy" to the uk market.

Government ev grant
Just seen that the ev grant for new vehicles has been. reduced from £2500 to £1500 for vehicles with a selling price below £32000 with immediate effect. Concerned what happens to all those orders in the pipeline for the ID4. In particular I have signed a leasing agreement in mid November for an ID4...
