Re: Octopus intelligent
Afternoon. Got updated to 3.2.0 and set my user up with location services allowed and set home as a charing location, but Octopus isn't "finding" my vehicle. I have noticed that in the My VW app, when I click on the Car icon in the Map view, it says "Vehicle location not available&qu...

Re: Auto Mirror Positioning
I agree with Warrior. You need the memory module within the seat.
Neither of our ID4s have it.

Id4 - puncture repair - using 12v socket
You all probably know that ID cars are fitted with “VW resealable tyres” and so no repair kit, let alone spare tyre, is supplied. However, thought I should share the following: In the event you need to pump up an affected tyre, and assuming you are not on a garage forecourt, you’ll need to plug in a...

Re: Notice anything different post 3.2?
Interesting, but actually we flip between cars - with different software version, and don’t really notice anything other than the ‘user’ login on 3.2 each time. That might say more about our hop in and drive (typically around town) routine than technology.
Biggest benefit: preferred time charging.

Re: Octopus intelligent
Morning. Finally got this up and running. When the dealer did the FW update it had removed the basic We Connect contract from my list of services; I had We Connect Plus but not the regular We Connect. I logged into My VW via the website, not the app, here: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/myvolkswag...

Re: Will I have enough range from 55kw ID.4
Harriers,
My simple rule of thumb is 3 miles per kw in winter, and 4 in the summer.
Many more chargers around now than people expect. Don’t always travel via motorway and you’ll find cheaper charge stations. The in-car screen seems reasonably accurate regarding available or in use status.

Re: Octopus intelligent
Update after three months:
Still charging consistently. Really love the combination of 7.5p/kw and ‘preferred charge window’ setting. No regrets. 52kw battery full charge for £3.90 - what’s not to like?

Re: Reduced Charging Following Minor Software Update
Thought: 2kw per hour is similar to AC ‘granny plug’ speed. Have you checked that setting? Just a thought.
We had same software upgrade and didn’t experience any symptoms.

Re: Software 3 .0 update for Ovo charge anytime
I had similar issue re installing home charger though no dropped kerb issue. I could have dug trench in grassed area to enable me to charge from garage/drive but decided to install on house and park on grass when charging. Try to avoid charging when very wet but would do if needed to. Lawn sunk a b...
