Just had an unexpected phone call from my dealer, and he’s told me that he reckon’s my car is now built and is on its way to the UK! Not much more info at the moment other than that it’s status is showing “ Vehicle in port of exit – released to shipping” (which prompted the call in the first place)...

Went for the Life Pure 52kWh. Standard spec, made sure I got the Gov grant. Regret a little not going for the higher range and maybe an extra on it too but seems like the more you add the longer you wait so no regrets.

My ID4 is finally out of the hands of the German customs and on the Neckar Highway! I think another couple of weeks… 7 month wait.
