Re: Wheel & Tyre upgrade

Do you know what manufacturer and model tyres have been fitted as your 18' tyres? As mentioned in the articles above, manufacturers are making EV specific tyres, to make sure that there is less rolling resistance, less noise and stronger sidewall strength. If you're interested in upgrading to 20' ty...

Re: Wheel & Tyre upgrade

This looks like a repeat of your other post? https://id4forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=353&sid=db16b68166241c8dfc29ee3f37337b0b&p=1478#p1478 There are plenty of online articles out there stating that tyres for EVs are different, e.g. https://www.tyresafe.org/tyres-for-electric-vehicles...

Re: ~10k vehicle inspection

Had a further dig around, and found the following information in our manuals which can be obtained online from the VW website:

Re: ~10k vehicle inspection

Oh maybe it's based on time rather than distance?
What's odd though in my case is that I'm only approaching my 1 year late April, and the reminders were distance based, popping up every time I started the car saying I have X miles until inspection, counting down every 100 miles as I hit them.

Re: Wheel upgread

I don't know for sure if there are specific VW ones, but mine were fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Elect - and from the marketing blurb, they have been developed for electric cars to have lower rolling resistance as well as a reinforced sidewall to cope with the added weight of the car. https://press.p...

Re: ~10k vehicle inspection

I did get the email as well, and it just so happened that I was getting those reminders in the car. So when I did call my dealer to ask about servicing they did say I wasn't due the proper service yet, but I could just come around to get those reminders reset.

~10k vehicle inspection

For anyone reaching the ~10k mark, your vehicle will remind you that it is due for inspection on start up of the car. Our ID.4s are only due a servicing every 2 years so if you've ended up driving a lot and reaching 10k before the scheduled service, you'll get a regular reminder to go get it looked ...

Re: Delivery Due?

Glad to have been of help! My next worry is when the campaign to replace the ECU to allow for the v3 software update will begin (as per @Burnsy's post https://id4forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=283&p=1201&hilit=ECU#p1201). I spoke to my dealer yesterday because the car is asking to be ...

Re: Delivery Due?

@BedfordEV I'm surprised that there's a supposed rule that 2022 cars only get 1 Year's worth of roadside assistance when there's no claim of that limitation on the VW website. I recently went through the hassle of trying to clear that up here (https://www.id4forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=346)...
