Re: Adding a second ‘user’.

Firstly, let me make it plain I only have vague memory of the topic myself, but …. Didn’t it require you setting up a new user within the My VW website account first, and then using ‘change user’ option when the car wakes up upon entry? May even by something within privacy settings to enable user ch...

Re: Octopus intelligent

Update: moved from SP to Octopus without much fuss. Context : we were born well before England won the World Cup. In case it helps, this worked for us: When you join Octopus you start on their flexible variable tariff. To move onto their specialised EV Tariff you have to connect the car to Octopus; ...

Re: Octopus intelligent

So, I’ve been tracking this thread for a while and I’m just about to jump towards Octopus Intelligent with a Pod Point charger. The car is ID4 2022 model on version 3.2.4 software. Any flags or concerns that anybody can think of?

Re: How Do You Charge?

we do a top up every other day, typically from 60% up to 80% using our 7.7kw home charger. We prefer not to let the range drop just in case we have to scurry across to our daughters in a hurry. We do carry a granny charger, but have never used it, even though the wife is .......... ;)

Re: First service

Might worth asking your original dealership to check your purchase transaction, as both our 2022 purchases came with first service plan as part of the package. Don’t know, just suggesting worth checking. You can also ring VW UK and ask them for the service plan reference number associated with your ...

Re: Tilting mirrors when reversing?

We concur, despite the manual talking about using the key set memory, if you haven’t got memory seats you won’t have memory mirrors.

Frustrating, but not life threatening we find.

Re: limiter

Hi Gen’, Firstly I’m an old fogey so perhaps not the best person to respond, but… You need your car VIN to access the manual via the VW website. The VW claim is it ensures you get the right version for your car, and the current version at that. I had to load the VW app ‘we connect’ onto my iPad to r...

Re: limiter

Dave, Apologies if you have already considered this, but you can get an electronic version of the manual using your VIN . I store mine on an iPad so I can sit in the driving seat to use it. My phone screen is just too small. The weakness of this approach being you don’t get manual updates unless you...

Re: Software 2.4 update with battery swap ...

Surely that’s the point of the ‘we-connect’ accounts, which as others have said, are connected to an email address. We don’t use social media at all. In fact this forum is my only paw print. My life doesn’t feel empty without it though. 😉 Our latest came shipped with 3.0 and then upgraded to 3.2 OTA...

Re: What's your mi/kWh (miles per kilowatt hour)?

With cabin temp set at 18, and we never use heated seats etc, lots of ‘B’ mode given around town, we are getting 3.7 miles per kw over 1000 miles from the entry level Life. The exact same setup, journeys and similar ‘mature’ driving approach, we get 3.3 miles per kw from the entry level Style. We at...
