Hi All
This is my first post

We have a Business edition two weeks old the car overall is fantastic, but from this weekend after the normal Vw greeting screen in the infotainment system a message says that it' trying to determine it's connection status for about three minutes and then finally fails saying "Unable to load connection status". I have also reset the infotainment system by holding the standby button down until it resets.
Also noticed when clicking the "Online mode" toggle button/switch it says that this "feature" is not available. Also the 3/4G connection indicator is grey (not connected). Anyone encountered this before?

We are having the same issues, my app won’t connect to car and no connectivity since yesterday.
I also have a notification about a software update but when I click on it to start it doesn’t work

I have owned my iD4 for one week and i have just started getting the "Unable to load connection status" message.
I was expecting bugs in the software as it is so new. I am really impressed (and surprised) at how well the wireless android connection works.
Does anyone know where the sim card is - I thought it was an eSim.
Who else has had this issue fixed please?

I had this a couple of weeks ago, I think it was for about 4 days. After 2 days I called VW cust service (0800 2797508) who logged it with
weconnect-support@volkswagen.de they then emailed me asking for pictures of the issue/VIN.
By the time they had responded a couple of days later it started working again, however i'm not sure if this was the car fixing itself or if somebody did something on their end as their response was "According to our internal tools your vehicle communicates with our servers". But all fine now.

Despite no intervention on my behalf and my dealer (Carrs Truro) failing to respond to my query, the internet connection has returned! I'm guessing that this is an intermittent issue - hacking response or upgrades, who knows - with the servers used by VW and has corrected itself.

I, too, have this problem. I have seen ID 3 reports of similar problems, which could be fixed by removing fuse 19 - locking car - unlocking car - replacing fuse 19 - resetting the Nav by holding button to OFF for 15 seconds. Has anyone tried this on the ID 4?
Apparently fuse 19 serves the same function on both cars.

Be careful removing fuses, particularly on these high tech cars. I read on a US forum that someone bricked their ID4 by removing a fuse.

I have just experienced the common connection issue. SOS light green but car refuses to go online. Reported the problem through the WeConnectID app and 24 hours later connection re-established. Do suspect the issue lays with the vw servers.
