Mystery foam filled plastic bags

Does anyone know why there’s two plastic bags with grey foam stuffed in two openings above the wheel arches under the ‘bonnet’ of the id.4? Just noticed them when topping up the washer bottle. Or are they some sort of pre delivery protection that haven’t been removed. Weird.
