I am very close to purchasing an ID4 LIFE PURE with a heat pump however the VW salesperson at the dealership has just commented that the heat pump affects the cabin space, changing the rear seats from a 5 seater to a 4 seater which i was not expecting. I can't find any information on this anywhere suggesting this is the case or any photos on line to verify this comment. Can someone who has a heat pump fitted please post to explain what impact it has on the rear seat space if any and what happens when folding the rear seats down flat. With my thanks.

Have heat pump and 5 seats. No difference in cabin space.

Thanks for all the replies. That’s good news. It seemed an odd comment. It’s frustrating when the dealership hasn’t got a clue!

The salesperson might have been confused with the ID.3 77kWh Tour which only has 4 seats.
VW somehow managed to solve that problem to allow for 5 seats with the ID.3 77kWh Pro-S model, but it's only available in Germany though.
