Hi all! I’ve been a long time member of the ID3 forum, on account of having an ID3 Max on order since September 2021. I’ve a soft spot for VW and have owned various flavours of Golfs since my first car, a Mark IV “tractor”.
Given the continued manufacturing delays and wider global events I began searching for an alternate EV in February 2022. By sheer luck I managed to secure an unallocated ID.4 Life Pure in Scale Silver, which is currently traversing Europe on its way to a German port. Excited is an understatement as I’ve been banging on about EVs to family members for over a year and sadly I’m the last to actually have one
I look forward to learning and sharing with this group!

welcome & that's great news Vpatz232, dare i ask how/where you found the car (i guess it must've been a dealer pre-order, or a cancelled order) well done to you for securing it!
Certainly. It was a dealer pre-order through the VW Parkway dealership group. As expected there are very few of these that popped up on Autotrader (think I saw a blue one today). In addition they’re also being snapped up within 48 hours.
The downside is that the “power” is firmly sat with the dealerships at present with minimal to no contributions / extras etc. Pretty much take it or leave it.
On the plus side, fingers crossed I’ll have my first EV within the next 4 weeks!

Mike. I’m collecting the vehicle on Monday, so will most certainly be taking a lot of photos of the exterior and interior. Also looking forward to my first charge, given I had EO home charger installed a few months back.

Here it is. Collected today from Parkway Derby. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive back through windy country lanes and picturesque villages as half of the M1 appeared to be closed due to an accident. Still has sufficient ‘poke’ for a 148ps.
You’ll also notice the brown interior has gone! I assume this is the new upgraded interior?

It’s a lovely car - getting lots of positive comments from colleagues and passers by at the supermarket! The entry level car gets a decent amount of functionality. Plus the big bonus is the very cheap running cost and super sized boot!
