Just about to take the plunge with my first EV & going for the ID4 Match.
I am wondering whether adding maintenance to the lease is worth it (~£40 per month). I'm going for a 24 month lease so I am hoping I won't need new tyres and possibly only or maybe 2 10K services - thoughts?
Is adding maintenance to lease worth it?
You'd be paying just short of a grand for maintenance over the two years if you went that route.
Your ID needs one inspection service at 2 years regardless of mileage, Earlier this year I got a plan which covered 1 service, 1 brake fluid change, a pollen filter and one MOT for next year. This cost £297.
I bought 2 tyres at about 20k miles (£336) and have spent about 29 quid on wiper blades. That's less than £700 without even shopping around.
Low maintenance cost is one of EV's big pluses - put your £40 a month in the building society and enjoy a pint or two on the interest.
