I've just taken delivery of an ID.4 First Edition. I know it doesn't come with a spare wheel but should it have had sealant / reinflation kit? I don't seem to have anything. So is it a case of breakdown assistance if you get a puncture? OK - I have VW Assist for 3 years but what service do they provide? Will they send someone to provide a new tyre at the roadside 24 hours per day?
The tyres use ‘air stop technology’. This technology incorporates a sealant within the tyre cavity that is designed to seal a small puncture from the inside .
A google search on vw air stop technology will give you access to a video presentation.
