Thanks AndyF, will look to use Gridserve instead. It looks like they have a massive charging hub at the Moto Services near Exeter with 12 350kW chargers so there's no need to worry about queueing for one on the way to Cornwall.

My home tariff has just gone up to approx 20p/kWh at night on economy7, so locking in for 12 months @25p on subscription is looking a good option. Won't be long before it's cheaper to drive 10 miles to Cobham services to charge my car of an evening while I have a dirty burger...

Travelled to Scotland for a short break last week and discovered Gridserve charge points were available at Moto service areas. Charged at Burton-in-Kendal on the way up and Killington Lake on the way back. Not large charging hubs, but more points are needed to cope with demand.

Regarding Gridserve, I read on their website existing customers get a referral fee. If anybody wants to send me a referral link via private message I would be happy to assist a fellow ID.4 owner?

I may be wrong, but I don't think there is any membership scheme with Gridserve, it's just a case of using a contactless card for payment.

You are completely correct. Others sent PM saying similar. I’ve misread/misunderstood their website. Thanks for responding.

Dont know if this has been mentioned but we are using Bonnet app, works with quite a few different networks and they have a couple of discount codes out that give a free full charge.

Just downloaded it, might give it a go on my next charge. Thanks for the heads up.
