Well, I'd almost given up hope but today I had an email to say my car is now in the UK and would hopefully arrive at the dealer by the end of the week. Then a call an hour or so later saying it had just been delivered to the dealer. Due to be delivered to me a week today!
VW ID4 52kWh Pure Life Moonstone Grey ordered 4 August 2021. Hopefully arriving one day :shock:

We ordered the same car on the 4th August too, still not here but according to dealer is on there delivery list for this month, being delayed as VW decided to update/recall it before delivery...

that's great new @LB1985, and hopefully yours is on the way too @fridgeman, be interesting to see if they arrive with software v 2.4 pre-installed

Me. Ordered a month after you, and have had my build date bumped multiple times, now waiting for the end of July (13 month delay), at which point they will no doubt bump again. I think our mistake was going for the more expensive model, unfortunately - if VW can churn out more cheaper models, rather than less expensive models, its kinda obvious which option they will take.

Yep, spec definitely played a part. Ours has now shipped….built apparently at the end of last year but not finished until a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully not much longer Photon - you should get the latest spec which is good - better sound system, parking assist etc . We were told that we would still be the spec at the time of order. We nearly cancelled but EVs are in such short supply, we didn’t want to go back to the end of any queue!
