Acs.com wrote: Wed Jun 07, 2023 2:32 pm Just been in to dealers, I was furious, I’ve always been told right from the onset that the deal I had signed would stand until I picked up the new car, then today I got a phone call saying they have revalued my car and the price has dropped so they can’t give me what they promised furious 🤯 anyway I went to see them and negotiated some freebies, so I’m not as out of pocket as I thought I would be. On another point I went to see my car in the compound, it appears they have changed the interior design, so it’s same as latest model spec, but the wheels are the old style wheels, no alloys but steel wheels with trims, don’t understand that 🤔
How can they not give you what they promised if the price has dropped? That makes no sense at all? If the price has dropped then you should be paying less for the car?
At the time my dealer rang me to tell me the PCP deal had changed and id be saving about 20% a month on repayments, which was amazing.
The only way that my deal could have otherwise changed is if I didn't pick my car up within 7 days of arriving at the dealer, but they said this is the registration date really.
What's changed on the interior? I think the steels look really nice actually.
Ok so the interior we ordered was the original brown tan dash and I think the seats were that same colour but now it’s a dark grey, nearly black, I don’t mind the interior too much but if that’s been changed why not the wheels?

My car was due for delivery tomorrow(Thursday) got a call earlier to say exactly the same… however mine passed PDI, but when the haulier came to pick it up earlier today the error was there. Exactly the same as you, dealer said they have 7 waiting for the same repair. Part is on back order too!

Been quoted 3 weeks as an estimate for the fix - so disappointing

Sorry to hear that, that’s not good at all, have they offered any good will, or at least a demo car to borrow while yours is off the road?

Well it's here!
Drove it around 80 miles back from the dealer, lots to learn and play with yet as didn't get to spend much time with it.
Already love pre-conditioning so got into a cool car and managed to tweak a few settings. Managed to enable travel assist as well!

Finally worked out how to attach a photo! (Resizing actually the issue)

Drive back was pretty amazing, it's the smoothest nicest car I've ever owned.
Tiny bit disappointed with the acceleration, MG5 definitely feels quicker off the line.
Brakes definitely have a lot of play, you can brake sharp but just means pressing down a long way, just something to get used to.
Used the built in satnav, it works really nicely.
The additional boot liner is a bit disappointing for the cost, but one of them things.
Fitted a FitCamX last night, took over an hour but blame that on me having big fingers!
Still not managed to have an amazing play with it, did a local run with the family and the kids love it and my 5 year old actually has bags of leg room now (sits behind me and I'm 6ft 5)
Dealers have been told not to inform customers until the car is off the boat now apparently.
What accessories are you getting with yours?

Nice looking car! My ID.5 is in the same colour, and I love it. I finally cancelled my ID4 order as the wait had become ridiculous. The Max I ordered isn't now available, and similar spec in the current range would have been cheaper than my order.

Congratulations, hope you find it worth the wait and all the hassle you've experienced.

Im really interested in your experience buying and fitting the FitcamX, as I've been looking at this, too. Which model did you go for, and what was the total cost, if you don't mind sharing? Is the car happy with the accessory? No errors?

Cheers

Looks great love the colour, that’s the thing with a new car, you just got to get used to all those new toys, drive, handling etc, so glad you love it, it’s been a long old wait. After my disappointment with them changing the value of my car, which they said wouldn’t happen, hey ho, I got a free service plan and a 3 pin charging cable and some rubber mats, I prefer the rubber mats, means you can swill them down when they get muddy, so all in all I’m happier than I was, by the way what model did you get?

Last two cars have been black, so I really fancied something a bit more fun.
Handling is really good, turning circle is mad! I reversed onto my drive today as I normally do, went full lock and would have hit my wall as the turning circle is so much tighter.
I've got rubber mats for the back for the kids - but normal ones for the front.
I got the Style Edition Pro - so bigger battery but also Aircon at the back for the kids and tinted windows.
