Software 2.4 update with battery swap ...

I had the 2.4 update with battery replacement last week and was wondering
has anyone else had this or V3.0 OTA update yet in the UK

It’s not on general release yet. The only way to get it to date has been to sign up via Facebook to essentially be a tester of the deployment

Too late now, this was several months ago. I was in the group, signed up and received it, it works well, no particular issues - the official FB group is "Volkswagen ID. Drivers club"
I'm sure it will be rolled out in no time once they finish their analysis.

V3.0 was promised to be available after 3 weeks of me having v2.4 and battery swap last August. Also, why should someone who doesn't use social media be unable to obtain it?

You will be able to obtain it, just when its rolled out officially. This was just a Beta test and they used the group to find people who were willing to risk their cars being bricked for the update.

They could have done it by other means, they have our email addresses. We’re not all on Facebook, we’re all on their database. They could’ve rolled it out that way.

Surely that’s the point of the ‘we-connect’ accounts, which as others have said, are connected to an email address.

We don’t use social media at all. In fact this forum is my only paw print.
My life doesn’t feel empty without it though.

Our latest came shipped with 3.0 and then upgraded to 3.2 OTA. Original still on 2.4.

Hardly ever go on facebook only joined this group out of genral intrest as I recently upgraded from a 2019 e golf to a 2022 ID.4 GTX =) it did have the 2.4 update before I took ownership =) though ...

As I recently booked my 2 year inspection online there was an option to also receive a complementary software update which I booked. You should be able to book it alone through VW website, start here:
