Keep us posted.

Not a stupid question about timing. Not sure what counts as start date as I won't hit my 2yr delivery anniversary for another month, but my inspection message said due a couple of weeks ago. In right now for inspection, rear hinges and 2.4 update.

My 2 year anniversary is actually 19th April, but my message started to appear in the last week of March. My car was originally in the showroom, so it looks like it was set when the car arrived at the dealers.

Mine’s an ex demo model so I’m assuming it’s dated when the dealership got it. Otherwise it wouldn’t be till august 😬

...and it's back. Went in Tuesday 09:00 and just collected it a couple of days later (Thursday 15:00, a day longer than they expected) but they were able to update me to v2.4 with a new 12v battery (668 192 RA).

To breakdown the inspection charges (paid by leasing company, item prices exc. VAT):
  • 1st ID Service (inc Screen wash - mine was full so they left me a bottle of it) - £129.09
  • Replace Pollen Filter (parts & labour) - £43.79
  • C/O Brake Fluid change (parts & labour) - £37.76
  • c/o recalls 97FS & 55N1 (not sure) £0.00
NET: £210.64 VAT: £42.13 TOTAL: £252.77

Just got ours back from the first service and they also did the 2.4 -> 3.2 software update. An overnight stay but all went ok according to the dealer. Also I was offered the £199 service plan a couple of weeks ago - bit of a no brainer - so maybe VW have re-introduced it?

As for the 3.2 update have not really had a chance to play with it but like the new driver console view with the trip and consumption data, and the % reading on the battery is very nice and long overdue. Will have a proper play over the weekend....

Thanks for this update Andy. Very useful. Listers Evesham is my local dealer but having read your comments I will book into Redditch instead. Thank you!

I’m pretty sure they all work from the same script set by VW.

I have my id4 booked in at Chester VW on 13-05-24 for software update which they said would take either 3days or 1 week. They are giving me a courtesy car . The car is now 2 years old so I’ve asked them to do a service while it is there . They have quoted me £210 for the service, brake fluid change £75 . Pollen filter £40 aircon £139 or an aircon refresh for £30. The car has only done 8000 miles , do l need to have all this done, please help.
Thank you
Keith
