Tow bar..

Has anyone had one fitted? I use a small trailer for humping awkward stuff about, nothing too heavy.

Anyway the prices I’m being quoted are crazy, £800 plus vat the cheapest so far?

Anyone else got one fitted, if so what were the cost?

I had it "factory mounted" in 2021. 6995 DKK = 837 GBP.

Works well, excellently hidden when not in use.

I ordered my car with one (April 2022)

VW UK informed me no tow bars available, it is also no longer an option on VW UK website

I would like one for a bike rack but I do not want any mods made to the electric, the official VW trailer socket and coding the ECU is more than the towbar

That's interesting as @Oswaldblue has been waiting over a year for his car with no update. The only thing they've added from standard is a tow bar.

I ordered my car with one (Jan 2022) and it did come with one when finally delivered in October 2022. It works nicely - just pops out when you pull the switch. Shame you have to manually push it into the final position (same when you put it away).
