Just received another recall message and had my dealer book me in... yet again. Heads up in case anyone else gets it - dealer says it only affects vehicles pre 2022

Dealer says there is an issue with one of the battery modules discharging more than it should. The work will take 5 days as they need to identify the faulty module and replace it. They said afterwards, i might notice increased range or less drop in power when not in use.

I cant help but wonder if this contributes to one of the list of faults i have hoping 3.0 will fix. : - Fault 13 - Range regularly drops randomly - for example on a journey, can see range is 150 miles, 20 miles later range is 80 then sits at 80 for 20 or 30 miles then drops to 50.

Speaking of which... any update on 3? been on 2.4 (still shows 2.3) for a while now.

Someone mentioned the battery recall the other day but I can't find the post now (search function in this forum is not working).

Anyway, some information here: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/volk ... 99757.html

There isn't a VIN lookup but in the article it mentions:
According to the company, the VINs are between 14,000 and 17,000, which suggests early ID.3s and ID.4s are more subject to present the issue. The newest vehicle in their fleet to have the defective cells has a VIN in the 48,000 range.
Also found this PDF (US based though) that has a little bit more detail on the fault:
