thats great new for x2onym and Buxton1 lets hope that VW ship sets sail soon and brings your car's home to you quickly.

Buying a new car used to be exciting and hopeful (for me) but unless VW UK have learned some lessons about customer service and honest communication, I think this will be my last VAG vehicle. I don't want to go through to this 'experience' again

Nb. I do mean VW, not my dealership I suspect they've been left just as much in the dark by VW about what's going as their customers are.

Seen a truck carrying new Tiguan’s and ID4s on the M1 travelling south near junction 25 today around 4pm. Couple of black, grey and white life models from what I could tell. I was thinking maybe one of them could be for someone on here.

I've finally got a confirmed build date WK 38 19/09. Ive ordered a life, pure 52kw (company car). They do not seem to sell that version anymore. Is there any differences to what has been ordered to what is arriving at peoples doors?

The main difference on new Life models is they have alloy wheels as standard now (MY23 builds since mid August)
and it's called 'Life Edition'

Whether you'll get the new version with alloys, or the original (steel wheels as standard) isn't clear hopefully some will arrive soon so we'll know....

(Ps you could try asking you dealer for a screen shot of the order status that might show the model year, until it goes to build tho I guess that could change)

I was hoping that might be the case, my build was the first week (33) after they supposedly moved to MY23, but my dealer says it was built as 22.5. So I suspect it'll turn up with steelies, as originally expected tho. But it'll be a nice bonus for all this time waiting if it does come with alloys.

(It's been built apparently as of last Thursday, but no news on shipping/delivery ETA yet)

I am currently rolling around in an 08 plate grand espace having sold my previous car while the prices were stupidly high. I wish they would hurry up. My £300 a month diesel bill is wearing thin.

I have ordered max version in sept 2021 with expected build date November 2021, later it moved to Jan 2022 and march 2022 then to sept 2022. Dealer emailed last week saying that now unconfirmed build date is in march 2023 with a twist that VW discounted MAX version however VM honouring the existing orders and build the MAX version. Its frustrating that waiting from last one year and not sure about the future of the Order. Is anyone else here in the same boat ?

it may be worth checking over on id3forums too there are several people there still stuck waiting on their ID.3 Max/Tour car orders with no dates/updates yet in a similar situation.
