Audio has stopped working this morning - doesn't work on radio, or playing media via Android auto. Radio won't unmute and use of slider bar to adjust volume adjusts the telephone volume only.
On the sound setting screen there is an error message at the top (see photo) which implies it is a temporary problem??? None of the sound settings controls are operable. When I exit and lock the car, this screen continues to display and does not switch off.
Running 3.2 software.
Has anyone else had this problem, or know of fixes (short of phoning up VW)?

Your car thinks that you're on a call or connected to your bluetooth audio.
First of all disconnect your phone/Android Auto and see if that helps.
If not then reboot the head unit (hold power for about 20 seconds) and it'll very likely fix it.
